In his self-directed video, University of Edinburgh Professor, Wyn Williams, elaborates on his experience using CogBooks to teach ‘Introduction to Geophysics’. The tool supported the students in their class preparation and provided them with formative assessments. That way, the class time could be utilized more productively to strengthen understanding. The tool also allowed Wyn to experiment with content and find things that really engage with the students. Both sides – the students and the lecturer – had a very positive experience using CogBooks and achieved great learning outcomes together.
