Explore CogBooks’ new features: course customization, enhanced reports and student navigation

As the trend toward digital learning continues to transform higher education, CogBooks adaptive courseware from Cambridge helps instructors focus on the parts of teaching they love best.
The latest new release from our adaptive learning platform caters to your needs for personalized materials and effective assessment. Our new features expand your ability to tailor course content to fit your learning objectives, introduce enhanced reporting details to track student performance and allow you to copy your perfected course so you can offer it again the following term without starting from scratch.
We have also improved features for students so they can easily find specific topics within the course and send detailed questions to you using our rich text editor.
Read on or watch the video below to learn more.
Now you can further tailor your course to match how you teach. Simply modify the structure by rearranging topics within the LMS and selecting specific components to include from our course library.
If you have ideas for incorporating external content, you can enhance your courses by adding new material, from preferred images and text to supplementary resources like instructional videos or academic articles.
Once a course is set up to your satisfaction, you may choose to offer it again next term. We made this simple: courses can now be copied in their entirety within the LMS so you don’t have to edit them every time.
Our new reporting enhancements can help you track the efficacy of your course content and analyze student engagement. Filter student performance reports by terminology or topic so you can see the results of specific lessons or exercises. Curious to know where each student stands in your course overall? Their progress is now visible in the new activity timeline, which highlights a student’s position in their learning journey at a given time and which items they have completed.
Students now enjoy easier course navigation options, including the ability to search the course’s content for specific topics. Students may also refer to our enhanced navigation pane on the left side of the course display to preview content within the context of the entire course hierarchy.
Sometimes students need to ask questions about material that requires more than plain text to communicate. Our newly enhanced rich text editor allows students to include special characters, symbols and illustrative elements in questions to you.
