OUR TECH.
YOUR CURRICULUM.
How we work together
Once you decide to partner with Cambridge University Press to develop a new adaptive course or multiple courses for your institution, we work with you every step of the way to make sure your custom course solution fits your timeline and budget.

While every partnership looks different because each project is tailored to the institution’s goals, the steps we will take together follow this path:
- Discovery and goal setting: Together with Cambridge’s content managers, you decide on the course content that best reflects your curriculum and instructional needs. You can use your personally developed content, OER material or Cambridge content to create the experience you desire. We discuss whether your course has the potential to be used in other institutions and how that distribution works, if applicable.
- Technical review: We explore the technology requirements for your new course and identify if anything else is needed to support the course design and integration with your school’s systems. We also look at the different ways for learners to engage with the content, including videos, simulations, interactive exercises and formative assessments.
- Course development: Our instructional designers—along with yours, if appropriate—determine how the content and learning activities fit together. We work with you to design the course’s learning map, which helps our adaptive system deliver personalized support for all learners.
- Course launch: Once the course is ready it is deployed to your students either through your institution’s learning management system or directly from CogBooks. You can immediately use our simple tools for recording grades and measuring student progress and understanding in real time.
- Continuous improvement: Unlike with a textbook, you won’t have to wait years to update your courseware. You can make small changes in real time and we’ll set a schedule that allows you to revise the courseware based on student feedback or content updates so you can continue to improve course outcomes between course deliveries.
How quickly can your courses be created? New projects can be completed in as little as a few months, depending on size, scope and the readiness of pre-existing course materials.
We look forward to partnering with you to unlock the potential of more learners. To discuss the specifics of your course idea, get in touch.
